On October 3, 2026, the photography exhibition “Mimo wszystko” / “Despite Everything” opens in Warsaw, presented as part of the “Klub PWP prezentuje” series by Polish Women Photographers.
The exhibition will take place at Akademia Sztuk Podziemnych – Galeria Metro Wilanowska. Among the 29 participating photographers is Joanna Musiał-Janicka.

The exhibition will open with a curatorial tour attended by the participating photographers and the exhibition curator, Małgorzata Wakuluk.
The exhibition “Mimo wszystko” will be open until the end of November 2026, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
“Mimo wszystko” / “Despite Everything” – Curatorial Text
All over the world, we laugh in the same language.
Without a dictionary. Without a translator. Sometimes even without a reason.
Laughter does not fix the world. But sometimes it allows us to breathe more freely within it.
“Mimo wszystko” / “Despite Everything” is not an exhibition about carefree happiness. It is a story about that peculiar human ability which allows us, even in the midst of difficult things, to find a crack through which light can enter.
Sometimes it is laughter. A gesture. A meeting. The presence of another person. A brief moment that does not change reality, but allows us to look at it differently.
Laughter is our common language. Our breath. Our oxygen. And perhaps also our hope for a better tomorrow.

PWP Weekend
The “Mimo wszystko” / “Despite Everything” exhibition is part of PWP Weekend, taking place from October 1–3, 2026.
The program also includes the exhibition “2025 Through the Lenses of Polish Women Photographers” at Galeria Łazienkowska, featuring Joanna Musiał-Janicka’s awarded photoslideshow “The World Is Where You Choose to Stop.”
PWP Weekend will also include a meeting with Magdalena Wdowicz-Wierzbowska devoted to her book Reporterki, hosted by Marlena Cechmistrz-Milczarek from Obieg Kultury.
