As a result, embroidering stitches on a print of a photograph is a continuation of it – a gesture of freedom and joy in creation. A movement beyond the image.

Using luminous thread, the artist follows the natural flow of light already present in the scene. The embroidery highlights its direction, structure, and rhythm, without altering the image itself. In this way it gently reveals what was already there.

Soft muted blue and delicate greyish-brown tones blend into an atmospheric composition, creating a feeling of inner calm and balance.

This is the most personal photograph in the entire “Hope” collection.

It was during the creation of this piece that the artist deeply felt she was on the right path. That after a long journey – both in photography and in personal growth – everything was finally beginning to align.

Now, as she presents this work for online sale, she asked herself: why wasn’t this photo, which started the entire series, shown first? The answer came naturally. Because of how personal it is. To share it with the world is like laying her entire inner world bare for all to see, while stepping out of her comfort zone.

Interestingly, the photo came to life almost “by accident”. During a walk in a nearby city park on January 11, 2021, meant only to bring a moment of relaxation, not a new beginning. It was supposed to be just one of many photos taken for pure pleasure… But the artist doesn’t believe in coincidences – rather in the small miracles that happen when we keep moving. Sometimes slowly, one tiny step at a time. It’s a process. She didn’t yet know it was the beginning of something new, but her intuition whispered that this was the direction she wanted to follow.

The image, the thoughts, the emotions – everything was in harmony. Calm, silence, relief, sensitivity, emotion, gratitude, simplicity…

From the very beginning, all Joanna’s Musiał-Janicka macro photographs were made only “for the drawer” – to quiet the noise of thoughts, to bring peace, for the pure joy of creating. But the feelings they carried were so good, so strong… that there’s enough of them to share with everyone.

So, the artist decided to share them. To expand her inner boundaries. To step out of her comfort zone. Because without that, there is no New Way.
