Poster “TheLight of Discovery” is a part of the series “TheLight” by Joanna Musiał-Janicka, featured in the “Another Worlds / Inne Światy” exhibition and performance in Wrocław.
At first glance, the image appears almost entirely abstract. Warm sandy tones meet cool blue and scattered flashes of light, creating a composition of texture, colour and light. Only upon closer observation does the subject begin to reveal itself: earth meeting water, sand meeting frozen lake.
The photograph had remained in the artist’s archive for some time. Found again while searching for another image, it suddenly demanded attention.
Maybe we were different back then?
This poster print offers an accessible way to bring contemporary nature photography into an everyday environment. Rather than conventional mass-market decor, it introduces an image with a distinct visual character – open to interpretation and designed to reward a closer look.
In harmony with the Artist’s intention, the image is an invitation to pause, notice and discover another perspective within something familiar.
The photograph was featured in “Another Worlds / Inne Światy,” an exhibition and performance by Wrocławska Loża Fotograficzna, presented in Wrocław in 2026.
